Spreading Literacy - Heal the World!

To improve the quality of primary education in the state every educated person, non-government organisations and youth should devote at least 100 hours teaching the less privileged children, says CM Narendra Modi.

On the first day of the Educational yatra 1,82,800 students were admitted in various schools from which 87,048 were girls. The kindergarten also saw a wave of admission with 1,18,855 kids being admitted and of them 56,449 were girls. Rs 2.36 crore were donated among other items to various schools as well. In this drive, as many as 225 IAS, IPS and IFS officials and 30 ministers visited 8,638 schools in the state.

Posing as a role of School Teacher, the leader spreads a message of Literacy and encourages kids for Education as this is a prime concern as they are the future of the State.

US Advice on Kashmir and Tehran's protests

The game of Politics and holes in BJP! And here's on MJ Akbar's article "The US Advice on Kashmir is Lunacy" - If you want to sell arsenic, the kindest way to do so is to disguise it as medicine heavily coated with sugar. There is nothing particularly new about the proposal of an interim balm for the wounds of Kashmir, demilitarization on both sides of the Line of Control. What is novel is the heavy Washington endorsement of this Pakistan -promoted option....(Read more)

Musharraf's ready to broker a peace deal sitting in London!

Indeed, search for peace is tougher - anywhere in the world! And here's fresh news on my desk, "Iran’s election ended with smoldering anger, crushed hopes and punctured illusions on the ground in Tehran and in the policy centers of Western capitals.

The streets of Iran’s capital erupted in the most intense protests in a decade as riot police officers clashed with demonstrators who accused Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of stealing the election......

Door slams on hope of change. A student says, "Now on we won't vote. They have insulted our feelings of Patriotism"

Teachers' Distance Training Live Webcast and Parenting controls

Dr. Radhakrishnan said once "A good teacher must know how to arouse the interest of the pupil in the field of study for which he is responsible. Challenges for the new Government

People of India know what is good for them and they always make right decision...Don't these words sound full of pride of winning emotions? The UPA worked very hard to fulfil those promises...of whom? They worked with dedication and sincerity - why? So many Questions as to what turned the cards and what went behind the scenes. One thing is for sure, you show dreams to the poor and they are your puppets. It is said, never trust people who flutter their eyes a lot! The winner always rule! But winners are losers too because simple logic says, to win, you lose something...only time will speak. Personal power is indeeda a powerful political gesture in India and even in 21st century, the Raja Maharaja rules - no wonder, we can never be super power but be puppets to the Super Power

CM Narendra Modi's Magic didn't work and now some politicians call it 'Black Magic' - it just turned black as everything twisted around! I guess, he never said, he wanted to be a PM, did he? I always heard him of speaking that he is a 'CM' - a common man who just went around to work wonders for the party - a 300 rallies no ever leader held in any campaign! Bad luck, though success came in Gujarat with marginal seats, it is just a surprize how Panchmahal and Sabarkantha just failed to expectations. Esp. Panchmahal saw the R Day celebrations with development to heights with various schemes. Infrastructure, health, education, women and child welfare, environment, water and cleanliness, power supply, etc schemes are under development.

Let's see now, how the new Government tackles the three most problems of the country:
1. Governance
2. Employment/Development
3. Terrorism

In comes, top priorities and their Vision Goal for next five years, at least! How they would tap in to combat issues of communalism and fundamentalism and last, I would look forward how they would bring Economic stability and tackle issues of poverty, rathar, minimise urban-rural divide.

Gujarat - mine, yours, ours

Kaun Banega PM? The race continues as Voting in Gujarat ends! What was impressive was that elderly people were seen most concerned as they came to vote at the polling booth. Interesting was to see phones buzzing among the youth who rang up and talked to each other about the Elections and Mr. Modi. Another thing I felt was, the wave of Modi mania that created an air of election campaign that was never before. Even the Television channels for the whole day focused on Elections and CM Narendra Modi seemed to be the 'Talk of the Nation.' - whatever the debate was and among the heat of word wars was amusing admiration for him!

Well, whatever will be, will be...the future is destined...ke sara, sara! Anyways, the state has progressed with all round development - Gujarat has maintained an incredible growth rate of 13 per cent. Ane 'Apnu Gujarat' is truly 'maru, tamaru and sarva nu Gujarat' - and the dream of the Narendra Modi to see Gujarat on Top of the World is our dream too....Isn't it?

Watch the Headlines Today Interview I mentioned in earlier post - on You Tube here. Also part one here. And here's Congratulations to the Best CM - 5th time!

CM Narendra Modi's Hindi and Sanskrit website launch

The official website CM Narendra Modi will today be launched in Hindi and Sanskrit at 5.00 p m at Ellisbridge Gymkhana. Vishwa Hindu Parishad President Shri Ashok Singhalji, head of the Sat Kaival Sampradya Acharya Shri Avichaldasji Maharaj and Sanskrit scholar Shri Dayabhai Shashtri will grace the function with their presence. The website launch in these two languages will help connect the masses, especially the younger generation, which is tech savvy and more likely to respond via the web medium, directly with the visionary leader.

Sanskrit is the most revered language since the ancient age of Indus Valley civilization. The CM believes that Sanskrit texts carry the fundamental underlying ideas of humanity at the highest level, and is of great relevance to us even today, as we cannot build a prosperous future without understanding our roots. Echoing the views of three of the greatest Indian revolutionaries – Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, and Acharya Vinoba Bhave – that Sanskrit is the best way to integrate and revitalise India, the CM Narendra Modi, is determined to make Sanskrit the language of every Indian a reality.

As such, Gujarati version of the site is already available, Hindi will suffice more power being the nationally spoken language. CM's vision and tech savvy awareness tend to go miles further to take Gujarat on a higher milestone of success.

The CM's website is extremely comprehensive about the aims and vision of the Modi government. It is informative both about projects already under way and future initiatives and policies. As you log on, every day you find latest updates and I am sure, you can find more on this site as the Sanskrit and Hindi goes live soon...Read more on this here.

Change will Come!

2 Million active campaign volunteers, 18% of total voter turnout, 2.1% Youth voted for Obama and Obama eventually won by 7% - Twitter, Facebook communities, door to door campaigns, pressure on friends and relatives, volunteer phone calls and Change has come to America - Youth changed the America!

With a campaign for the Loksabha Elections, Youth can change India. Half of the population in India is below 25 and 2/3 under the age of 35. They can bring the transformation and a great big change. Leaders like the CM of Gujarat can bring in a change who can be another Obama and its words and words only but more, Actions too that shows the results. I was just watching the Headlines show yesterday and found a Leader who had a challenging answers to the Anchor Rahul Kanval. As I wait for the transcript to come my way, what I gather is, here's a leader who has a vision to the future. He do not believe in 'forgiveness' and boldly says, 'Hang me' if found guilty. I guess, for a common person, what is important is development and not hang on to the who, how, what where or why and things that do not matter to him the most. What Gujarat is today, never was Before! The development of the State is on a fast pace and as I dig into the minute details of the State to pen down, I find Gujarat on a Map of the world - standing tall with its rich heritage, culture and economic growth.

Well, a debate can go on this but for now, find the pic of Debate panel of Headlines Today after the Interview of CM Narendra Modi by Rahul Kanval while travelling in airplane on 24th April. Log on to the CMs site for his tour programs as he has to his credits, more meetings than any other leader and more energy as he devotes his entire life for the Development of Gujarat and progress of India. Btw, a Poll conducted in Times of India as to which Leader would people pick to run the country, Narendra Modi's came on top. Read more on this here. Indeed, a matter of pride.

E-greetings - an Innovative idea

Politics and it's ever been 'World of Word wars' - A race to power and power to glory - However, glory for the nation, people, fans, believers, supporters - What one could dream is Best among the rest who can bring about a difference!

Politicians, like Osho said, There would be no wars if they wouldn't exist. There would be no need fo the nations. Neither would Narendra Modi be bugged by the SRPs (Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka) nor would there be remote controlled politicians - Words and it's only words that makes wonder, I wonder!

Well, here is an Innovative Audio e-card with a quote by the CM with a witty cartoon or image of the leader who stand tall to take on the Congress in his most characteristic style. You can personalize the e-greetings with your message or by selecting a quote thereby. Import friends' ids and send them too.

India fights back!

CM Narendra Modi recently emphasised need for a strong PM. He says, ""We don't want a majboor (helpless) prime minister but a mazboot (strong) one for overall development. To bring about development in the country, people must vote for BJP-led front," Modi said during an election rally. What do you say?

Well, My Space/India fights back is Interesting as we see the young students fighting back "If I were a PM" and maybe like the movie 'Nayak', we may have an Anil Kapoor who rules in the end! Watch the video interviews here.

Health concerns and Sri Ravishankerji's views on Vote bank politics

I just updated my Health Blog as World Health Day was on 7th April. Normally, we celebrate days quite casually without giving a thought over it but Health concerns and it really matters! Especially, those on the Internet with couple of hours on surfing and even maintaining sites or promoting and marketing own blogs. Here is on Kidsfreesouls with link to my health blog on Austin 360, Statesman.

Well, I was just reading Sri Sri Ravishankerji's site and he says,

" India's problems are complex. And unfortunately these are compounded by vote-bank politics. Instead of uniting the different sections of society, many politicians divide it to keep their vote banks intact. If people are united, politicians won't be able to get votes through divisive politics. In such a situation, the only way for them to win votes would be through good performance. As citizens, we must protect our country from those who manipulate issues for their personal gains and who lead by playing vote-bank politics. Those with vested interests support insensible decisions and oppose sensible ones. We have to steer clear of such leaders. We must encourage broad-minded politicians and leaders to come forward and take charge, and to educate and uplift the society - spiritually, morally and socially. We need leaders who are satya-darshi (truthful), sam-darshi (equanimous), priya-darshi (pleasant), paar-darshi (transparent) and door-darshi (visionary). So, before we elect our leaders, we should examine their qualifications. We must elect leaders who will do away with policies based on caste, creed, religion and region; who will ensure that every child gets a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional education. We need leadership with a mission and a vision, leadership with a spirit of sacrifice, compassion and commitment. We must choose leaders who have a long-term vision and short-term plans to achieve it. They should have great personal integrity, and place the country before themselves......Read More"

Good Politicians do exist or do they? I wonder. One thing sure can be said for Modi's Gujarat is that though there are shades of grey of the riots, there is peace and before the name Gujarat comes in 'Modi's Gujarat' - This indicates that if we wish to see a dream shaping up for Gujarat, each one of us must not only vote but also encourage others around us to vote. When good, intelligent and well-educated people don't vote, they play into the hands of politicians, who use money and vote bank politics to seize power. Isn't this true? Ask many Youth, they never voted but now, they see some Power within their own Government and like the efforts of Jagoree, Aap vote nahi kar rahe toa aap so rahe ho'

Well, log in to Jaagore - and of course, Yahoo Election 09 and Money Control - kafi Interesting!

Blogger allows Transfer of blog - for good!

There's been change on the Sambhaav site - all for good! I had been looking for the change for quite some time as the site badly needed a make-over.

This gives me an opportunity to explore Google Blogger more deep within and I find the changes at google end too.

Since quite some years, I wished I could change the name 'sambhaav.blogspot.com to something like 'random notes' and here's Google offering ftp updates to my own domain or just transferring to a new domain name through Google Partner for $10. This means, the readers can follow my all time notes to the new domain I choose.

Till I make the changes, keep following the blog or just drop in, pass by or say hi at Kidsfreesouls.com - And here's a small quote that says:

"Everything that's worth something, costs something. The most important things are worth the price you have to pay to obtain them"

Well, we start paying a price sometimes for being Too Nice - For our Own Good! Check on the review and you will like to read it. As such, the book isn't available at crosswords or any book shop in town.

Enhance Gujarati word Power. I couldn't ever speak better Gujarati but being among many Gujarati bloggers, I have a chance to sneak in and peek a boo into the gujarati language and dictionaries that ever give me a clarity of the language.

Recently, I came across Vijay Shah's "Spell Bee" contest online. You have to follow the Bhagavadgomandal here which has the key features which say:

>In nine volumes and nearly 10,000 pages, it is the first Gujarati Gyankosh published after an extensive exercise of 27 years.
>2.81 lac words and with their meanings total number of words are 8.22 lac.
>It provides extensive, exhaustive and rare information on every subject, word and name.
>Nine volumes include 28,156 idioms and more than 10,000 proverbs.
>It is a golden-treasure for our mother tongue Gujarati.
>It is not a simple dictionary, but a rare as well as authentic encyclopedia in true sense of the term.

Well, for the Spell Bee competition, what you do is follow the rules on Vijay Shah's "Spell Bee" contest online - browse through the above Bhagavadgomandal - pick your words and take part to the initiative of www.gujaratisahityasarita.org. 12th March

12th March - A day that leaves memories on mind! My Dad who was born on this day and Gandhiji began the Dandi March. But, as a journalist I ever fondly remember the birthday of a newspaper 'Sambhaav' and my first Management article I had placed in print media on this day. Dada, and the name brings in a smile on the face and whenever I see him, almost words take a form of 'silence' - an inspiration of a leader among the many, who made me achieve my goals.

Relationships n Stuff

Valentine's Day and all went 'Red' - balloons, clothes, lights, ambience....As we thought of keeping our spirits live celebrating Valentine together, it was amazing to find, people at every nook and corner of the town, celebrating Valentine - Even the Chocolate Room was all Red!

Yes, indeed. The city is changing and our politicians won't ever go against the western culture as times are changing and the East is turning West.

Well, here's my stuff on Relationships. (Listmania) and here's a review you'd like to read as I am sure, many of you must have experienced.......

Why Men Lie and Women Cry: How to Get What You Want Out of Life by Asking
Review By Ilaxi Patel

My earlier picks of Allan + Barbara Pease has been a great read and this book is no exception though some of the contents seem repetative. Why Men don't Listen and Women can't Read Maps was a wonderful book and so was Body Language. So, I couldn't resist a pick of this book 'Why men lie and Women cry'! Main reason was the book title that bring a twitchy smile upon the face and second reason was that it's been a great gifting Allan & Barbara Pease's unique Books which delights the reader. The first chapter says on How to Give a Book as a Gift, too. Third reason for this pick is that the book is a must on the Bookshelf as it gives practical, easy digestible advice for better relationships. The book is so hilarious, answering the common questions that arise in minds about the attitude of men and women in general. Some of the points covered on back flap are:

1. Why are men confused about love
2. Why do men avoid commitment
3. Why do men feel women nagging around
4. Why don't women ever get to the point
5. Why do men love high heels on women and women love men with small tight bums?

Moreover, with simple black and white illustrations and quote quips in-between the pages, makes the book also a 'Quick glance Read' and obviously the quotes are too correct and informative. There are some interesting jokes too at the beginning of some chapters and case study that makes interesting read. The Authors have practical tips in detail for all chapters like:

1. Nagging - When someone just won't let up
2. Seven things men do that drive women insane
3. Why women cry - The dangerous emotional blackmail
4. Women's top secret point - scoring system
5. Solving the seven biggest mystery about men
6. The other woman - mother
7. Women's secret ways with words
8. Women's sex appeal test
9. What made Rogger Rabbit's eyes pop out
10.Men's sex appeal test
11.Male Sex appeal - what makes women turn on
12.Does this outfit make me look big?
13.When a hunter hangs up his bow - Retirement

The book is revealing as to why men and women have so much trouble. Be sure to read page 9 & 10 How to give this Book as a gift coz this advice of authors is a sure fire way to strengthen relationships. A nice pick always and that's Allan+Barbara Pease series of Books, all topics, all practical and good. A + Choice Pick.

Enjoy songs at You Tube...

"Mind is simply a complex machine, which moves from ‘fast forward’ to ‘slow motion’ and even popping into ‘pause’ mode at times. Igniting the creative spark is overflowing of potentialities within to enjoy work to achieve a fulfillment. Time flies and the creativity turns into work mode. If this work becomes slogging, there comes pause mode with a neutral gear. This is the still point when we find ourselves entering into a state of ‘Let go’ doing just nothing, no thoughts, no work or any creativity. It leads to experience existence, the nature and enjoying the state of paradise with awareness. The mind is rejuvenated and back again to explore work with creativity to ultimate flowering."

I mentioned this earlier note but yes, the mind gets rejuvenated while you work on information super highway - listening to the yester years music and watching inbetween the slow blogging trail or speed blogging posts. You Tube has great music as I pick them for the Valentine Favorites. Stay tuned and check on my Val Favs here.

Unique Stadium in Ahmedabad

Rain Proof Stadium for Ahmedabad - Good news, isn't it? India's first Sports and Entertainment complex is under development with completion period by 2010. It will have around 33000 permanent seats, a cable supported retractable roof which would be operational by a mere push of a button and the structure to be decorated with art. The State govt. MoUs with a London based company and this stadium will include a football ground and an entertainment arena at the cost of Rs.200 crore.

I hear, the facilities are 'All Purpose' - Sports and just sports with Entertainment too! I wonder, is Cricket to be as 'Top Game' or is Football (soccer) to be major attraction now as most of the Cricketers are busier as ever with ADs and social campaigns. Anyways, this is indeed a good move and we do look forward for our Youth to be more Sports buff than just having fun frolicking around.

Indeed, Gujarat is changing for good and the difference is just seen and will be more felt in coming years. Why even filmstars like Priety Zinta hopes that CM Narendra Modi becomes the PM of India!

2009 begins with phishing scams, frauds and stock plunge..

The year begins with Twitter phishing scams and Facebook frauds - web and stock market! Satyam has made waves which can heavily weight on other India IT stocks. What is your Trading Strategy for Satyam and you find 78% for Buy, 19% for sell and mere 3% for hold! Meet any sane or insane businessman and he's talking of Stocks! Everybody seems to be gripped with the stock market and rate 2008 as worst with yet to foresee 2009 as worst and worst....a dooming economy?

Well, I just read about the Print media journalism : "What if The New York Times goes out of business -- like, this May? It's certainly plausible. Earnings reports released by the company in October indicate that drastic measures will have to be taken over the next five months or the paper will default on some $400 million in debt."

The collapse of daily print journalism may mean many things and if you want to know more on this, click here.

As for the new year, here's wishing all the best to all who pass this way with Sun Sign traits and number reading. Click to read on Kidsfreesouls as ever...

Have Peace!

I just read a quote on my desk - "To use punctuation marks on paper is easy but can you put a full stop to waste thoughts?" Ponder....When do you get waste thoughts? It's like, "An idle mind is a devil's workshop" - And when do this devil work? Only when idle? I don't think so. Devils keep working round the clock - at workplace when there's someone superior than you and you are a big 'J" - when you have the inferiority complex, when you are poorer than the rich ...when ...when...Maybe that's the reason the young terrorist had the devil in him to risk his life....But, there goes a thought in mind 'What makes a human think terror, why they become criminals...

Whatever be the reason, here's Anti Terrorism Lesson Plans - We want our young generation to be more wiser and face the world terror free. We need to stop the Hatred and Anger, learn tolerance and spread peace. Stop crime and stop kids to be criminals.

I hear groups of people gathering to light candles on Mumbai Terrorism and invites on Facebook reveals that some of them have taken a fancy to go for multiple social causes as an Activity! And it has almost become a happy program for children to draw and paint terrorism - Do we want our kids to come to class and tell us exitedly that, "I did a Taj drawing with bombs and terrorists and it was fun!" So many competitions I've taken so far but never, ever did I think that one can organize a competition on topics like Terrorism or peace! Yes Indeed, Ahmedabad is changing!

And here's Peace Lessons with song of John Lennon 'Imagine' - Have Peace.

Politics behind Terrorism!

As terror strikes once again with a date 26, it is with deep agony to realize the state of a nation in doldrums who can't face crisis management! Shattering to see the truth, it saddens our hearts as we see continual terror reigning supreme to bring havoc. Who could be the souls behind this? Whoever, but the attacks were primarily aimed at the foreigners! We cannot go deep into terror mayhem but here's Fareed Zakaria's views on who they can possibly not be - not a Deccan Mujahideen nor Al Quaeda! He says, "My sense is that for the last several years, the core of Al Qaeda—Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri—has been very weak. This seems more like a Kashmiri, Lashkar kind of thing."

Well, as New York Times adds a story today on Narendra Modi and Political shifts, here to watch for political wave this crisis may India's political landslides. The newspaper headlines in India also focus on bigger issues saying, “It is time we stop our political parties from using terror — Hindu or Muslim — to fuel their popularity when they are fueling a fire that can consume India,” (front-page editorial in The Hindustan Times and Indian Express). You can keep updates with Kidsfreesouls Google search here and check on MJ bylines too. Politicians and they indeed can be said - Endangered species - Keep away from all the four P's - Press, Police, Politician and Priest!

Terrorist have no religion nor are they humans as their acts speak more of their wrong deeds which angers the whole nation-world. More than these terrorists, is the threat of a Nuclear terrorism, which is a top fear and this is worst that we can only shudder to think.

Our hearts go out to the souls who lay fighting for terror and may there be light, peace prevail.

He had a key to every Heart : with Love

He had a key to every heart - His Shayaris and gazals with Love mixed to vibrate our souls. Adilbhai Mansuri has left for heavenly abode. I deeply feel the loss of a colleague who drifted with time to far away lands and space built in a gap of years as I only thought of but actually could not make it up to meet him! A renuion of AGK, Adilbhai and finding lost traces of Vora, Pritam, Shah, Srini, Venkat, Guru, Murugesan, Kaushik and all at Shilpi Advertising still lingers away. Well, Diwali has really been too unfair to bring me over news of four deaths of people whom I knew and could not make it up to meet them. Sometimes, we can never make it up, so happens!

You can find updated info on Adilbhai's website. I have no words to pen here as my heart pains as I cherish a book he sent me...My heartfelt condolences goes with his family, friends and fans. May his soul rest in peace~

Will Modi get US Visas now?

With a Historic win of Barrack Obama, here's more on Kidsfreesouls in case you missed. I asked a friend, 'Whom did you vote' and she strangely replied that her country is India. I wonder, do you miss on voting rights if you have?

Well, How much do our kids know Politics? I've heard many people voting for the candidate who is less corrupted and casually joke away saying so that his valuable vote goes to the less corrupted politician as he hopes, he might bring about a change. Unfortunately, sometimes changes never occur instead there is fight for power and more power and money and more money.

Our politicians back home has power, (money I don't know) more determination and more progress in time to come. There is strong expectation in Gujarat, 'Will Modi now get US Visa?' - Obama's feat brings in cheer and rays of hope for our CM Narendra Modi and even American journalists currently on visit to Gujarat has been trying to figure out whether Narendrabhai will become Indian PM. Hmm...Power, Fame and Reach - I hear, Modi is headed for a trip to Africa, including Kenya. Does this sound a tinkle? Good nah!

Struggle to survive - Poverty

How would you eradicate Poverty? And, the question keeps burning with a lot debate, views, suggestions and posts at Blog Action Day website and Kidsfreesouls. You can be a part of the question, "Is poverty root to war? Or, Is root of war, Poverty?

Btw, I happened to get into Interactive session with Sam Pitroda on his visit to GCCI for a Lecture on Knowledge Economy. I found him a good orator but my question still lingers on my mind - will poverty lead to a bigger war - a struggle, frustrations, seperations, injustice, ego hurts, losing self esteem....all the inner war leading to some to crime....A war with self, war with human values, humans....What do you say? Do post in your comments on the recent Global Crisis.

This might find interesting for nrgs as here's a newly formed GCCI-NRG coming up online and you now have a great platform for all your business enquiries/queries.

btw, extremely alarming is that Gujarat is classifed under the 'Alarming' category in the severity of Hunger Index with a score of 24.7 and with over 200 million people who are food insecure, India is the home to the largest number of hungry people in the world. You can find more on this here on India State Hunger Index. However, the Gujarat Govt. dismiss this as 'Humbug' as the Minister of State for Food and Civil Supply challenges the organisation which has conducted this survey and he's ready to be answerable if this is proved correct.

The Nano Project is coming and the Eco friendly car is already rolled from Rajkot, can we expect Hunger in Gujarat? No ways....

One never knows what future bestows with current economy fall - even the top most Builders and a Doctor, I hear, have lost crores in Stock...everything can be uncertainties!!!

Btw, stay tuned to Kidsfreesouls for more to come...there has been a great concerns with Global crisis and even parents who advice teachers to teach children How to Manage Crisis as there's been conflicts, seperations and so on.

World Gujarati Conference

The three day World Gujarati Conference in NJ is gonna be the largest meeting of any regional Communities across the world. 'Chalo Gujarat', an initiative by AIANA led by the Chairman Sunil Nayak organises the second edition where more than 35,000 Gujaratis across the world are estimated to attend. Narendra Modi will once again address the international Gujarati convention via video conferencing from his Gandhinagar based residence on 31st August, 5.00 pm IST. His satellite speech will be simultaneously web-casted through internet. Saurabh Patel, Energy Minister of Gujarat will represent Gujarat government in ‘Chalo Gujarat’ convention. Two specially developed mascots — ‘Mani’ and ‘Harry’ — will graphically introduce the exhibition. While Mani is a Gujarati girl, Harry is a Gujarati boy living abroad. You can read more on this on the Express website. Here's my earlier post on this.

No wonder, 'જ્યાઁ વસે ગુજરતી, ત્યાઁ વસે ગુજરાત' - One thing just baffles me - the title ' Chalo Gujarat ' - Thank god those who have gone out of Gujarat want to at least say 'Chalo Gujarat' and hopefully, bring in more people to join their Chalo Gujarat theme. For sure, NRGs are moving ahead to make waves to bring Gujarat in the map on top of the world with its social, culture, traditions and economy. The CM knows too well how to reach people even if Visa is not granted. But than, the only aim is 'Apnu Gujarat' - why even Ratan Tata has been invited to set up Nano plant here in Gujarat - a place he should have chosen! Let's cross fingers for resident Gujaratis and non resident gujaratis to work wonders for Gujarat under the leadership of NM.

Btw, here's my new post on my Book Blog and more on Kidsfreesouls. Enjoy.

Pop goes the iPhone!

The iPhone 3 G Launch and blast, it rips off 'Flop' show. Apple had made a great hype with the long awaited wait for the official launch. However, most of the young people had already got in the cracked version (ugh, did Apple know this?) and looking forward to this or just upgrade it for a few bucks was easier, isn't it? Well, the pricing is too high with the digits rolling higher as we all know - costing 8 GB is Rs.31000/- and 16 GB version for Rs.36000/-. The iPhone is choice of techies, the rich kids and savvy entrepreneurs. And than, one never knows - your iPhone can raise your bill to 25% - all coz of phone's internet surfing capabilities. Vodafone gives 250 MB and 600 MB data usage free per month on a plan of Rs.799 and Rs. 999 whereas Bharti Airtel offers free 500 MB per month on iPhone specific plans that will have basic rent of Rs.600 per month.

And ask me, what do I do with my iPhone? - all is a quick check on the facebook, a listen to ipod or click for a pic and feel happier seeing some pics - a chat here n there and sms to fill up a day. Would I go for a next pic and sure, it would be a Blackberry Pearl and upcoming Android.

Btw, Wired Magazine asked 2,600 iPhone 3G users around the world to contribute 3G performance numbers from their localities. The survey revealed network weaknesses. According to Wired, the carriers are to be blamed and not Apple. One analyst firm has suggested that the problems were due to bad hardware from Infineon. Other pundits suggested a firmware issue which they say Apple attempted to fix with the last update. The fastest 3G speeds were being reported on T-Mobile's networks in Europe, while Australian carriers Optus and Virgin reported the slowest 3G speeds.

Ask for our speeds? You just Guess! And yeah, by the time you wait for the browser to open, it happens that I always get 20% battery left......or just 10% - all at the end of the day!

Anyways, if you a Connexion junkie. You are sure to find a post coming soon here.

Concerns!

Ask any person at random, you find them dealing in stocks! Economy doom is reeling on the minds of many business people and they have an eye on the International market. Most of the younger generation are found to be dealing in stocks and trading at times. The result is the gadgets we find them using extensively and the luxury they want at every stage. Even fancy are the motor bikes catching craze among the youth.

Recently cases of thefts of laptops, mobiles have increased and you never know when they are picked from a parked car. Even cars and motor bikes are missing and houses target for theft. There is an increase in cases and the hoardings keep speaking of progress of Gujarat and the development with less focus on curbing the criminal activities in state. It is high time, the government has a vigil on the culprits who are day by day increasing with economy getting jerky and high cost of living.

Well, here's a post on Abhinav Bindra and we, as Indians, feel Proud of his achievement as India wins first Gold Medal in olympics in 80 years!

Sun sign character and number astrology

Do you believe in Number Astrology? 8/8/8 and it brings luck but for those born with number 8 i.e. the two Chinese leaders were born in 1942 - So, as per the Chinese astrology, this is the year of the Horse in the 12th year cycle. There's a clash between the rat and a horse as you need an animal to attract away the rat, astrologers say.

Well, whatever, whatever.....here's on Beijing Olympics 2008 (beginning 8/8/8) on Kidsfreesouls along with the links. You can find your Sun sign character as well as Number astrology - I did write these pieces in print media in Sambhaav while I did the Op-ed page as 'Freesouls' - Enjoy.

Mujhe meri biwise bachao

Here's the great news from guys who gasp for breath saying 'Mujhe meri biwise bachao' - Well, the story of Dilip Patel in AM, Toi features a book by Manoj Joshi, Author of a Gujarati book - પતિની તરફેણમાઁ કોર્ટોના (પત્ની વિરુદ્ધ) ચુકાદાઓ “કેસીસ ઇન ફેવર ઓફ હસબન્ડ.” What so interesting is, the book lists out 2500 cases where men have filed for divorce and won verdits in their favour. As it charts out, the reasons for which Divorce is sought by the man is:

> If wife spoils husband's image
> Insults him before his friends
> Taunts him for not performing well in b - e - d
> Calls him Ravan, butcher....the like words
> Doesn't prepare meals on time

Manoj Joshi is a High Court Advocate who has sold 25000 copies in four months since it was published. Readers have found it informative, eye opener, hilarious, sensational and even shocking and downright 'provocative'. Manoj Joshi has to his credits 22 books and is an expert in his field writing topics which include Hindu marriage Act, Adoption and maintenance. He has his best skills writing in subject matters as matrimony and divorce.

Well, there it goes. I had heard about 'Husband Morcha' against atrocities by wives and they sorted for justice some years ago. And sure, heard of a lot of cases of men being harassed by women and vice-versa. However, the highest problems are foreseen with the newer generation and especially NRIs - men who are scared of their wives threatening to complaint 911 and many parents are stranded back home! For them, this seems to be 'Home sweet Home' to get the right justice as I think no stringent law of lords apply here as Hindu Marriage Act safeguards interest of the couple in general and do offer justice someway.

Well, now I guess even I need to be too alert and prepare meals on time instead of hanging on the net.....A cook is no solution, after all:-)

Btw, sometimes you don't see an update here, draw your attention to 'Twitter' (on right column) and you can follow me to find what I am upto on the web.

Gujarat is Safe??

The Asaram Bapu scam is almost forgotten as the terror strikes Gujarat! Rumours around has a lot to say on this but the current focus lay on the Ministers visiting the most affected areas. We all know, the PM came for a visit along with Soniaji and they were warmly greeted by the CM, Narendrabhai Modi. Whatever concerns, one thing is sure - we find people gossip that our CM did not purposely talk to Sonia Gandhi and she was completely avoided! It's even reported that she hang around with Manmohanji to promote the party and there was no need for her to accompany the Singh is king and Shivraj Patil.

Well, in time of terror news and bombs fused and de-fused, politicians keep playing their games and the reports keep appearing to highlight their actions - what about the plight of the many dead and injured? Just the announcements - Given a lac by CM and toppled with cream and sugary layer, the PM declares double lacs.....Can they give back lives? Can they stop the terror call? Again the CM is said to blur out the words and only words...."gujaratni pragatine koi nahi roki shake...." Mr. CM need to swirl in action to stop the Antank first - It's said, after Bangalore blast, he said, "gujarat maa shanti che ane antank naa avi shake" but unfortunately, the terror reigns.

Well, here's more on kidsfreesouls on fear and anxiety as rumours go around gripping kids with fear phobia asking, "why do they kill?" - Do our Politicians have an answer?

Media scoops: Misleading?

Divya Bhaskar is one newspaper who conducts great seminars in town recently. At GCCI, DB in association to the chamber, held a session on Parenting and now today, to celebrate its successive five years, DB will be felicitating outstanding women at GCCI; namely Paru Jaykrishna, Ami Yagnik, Rupa Mehta and Mallika Sarabhai. DB with GCCI has jointly organized a Seminar on Women empowerment - thereby debating on the socio-economic and emotional strengths of women. Their fight for Freedom and Power.

Well, it makes me wonder with today's news in media which speaks of a stepping down leader of GCCI, Paruben. Through her tenure, the press has been - for and against - make her rise and fall! Just today, I read somewhere that the CM will now grace GCCI functions which he didn't attend lately due to the outgoing President. Well, I've attended a host of functions all round the year where the CM was present! I think the press is wrong! Are they misguiding people? If so, why? Under who's pressure do they write or do they want masalas for stirring soups?

Power sometimes go in the wrong hands and they leave no blank areas to tarnish the image of people. Paruben is projected all negative (sometimes positive!) in newspapers and they've mentioned her as to be 'ambitious'.....Well, these reporters aren't ambitious? Without ambition, I don't think one can reach a goal. Next step is a determination and that she had. Completely dedicated to the chamber, Paru Jaykrishna has made an achievement and she's changed the GCCI scenario in just one year! Those who're reading the GCCI Bulletin are aware of the Bulletin presentation lately and also the working is much better organized than before at the premises. Why don't the Press write the Positive? Only they know...

One thing I hate at workplace environment is 'Pulling and pushing' tactics. Politics is bad but worse is human nature and we find politics at every stage in our life esp. at workplace, at clubs, social organisations - all where committees are formed! These very leaders and committees speak of goals and achievements but lack a unity!

Btw,the CM is to remain present for the Installation ceremony of the new elected GCCI President Rupesh C Shah on 27th June. I won't be saying more on him as his 'Ek Vichar' speaks a lot on him and more, you can read in the press! Keep watching the posts and keep reading the print newspapers - will make you wonder the way of reporting - good going to bad.....it's all wait and watch to Watch the News - Life comes to News, is it?

Narendra Modi will get visas for Chaalo Gujarat???

I hear that the AIANA (Association of Indian American of North America) will use their best influence to convincePresident George W Bush to grant US visa to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi enabling him to attend a Gujarati conference in New Jersey.

The three-day ‘Chaalo Gujarat’conference will be held at Edison, New Jersey from September 1-3 and this time, our CM will take no risk. Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, The big brothers -Anil-Mukesh Ambani, Minister Shankersinh Vaghela, Irfan Pathan, Kiran More are among the few dignitaries to visit the conference.

We all know, Modi was denied visa in 2005 by the US following the 2002 riots. This time, unless the US consulate gives a sure green signal, Narendrabhai will not apply. It can hurt his reputation and sure it will - not only his but leave scars and stains on the reputation of Gujarat too. What do the big shots of US think? Video conferencing or live telecasting is a way to go but denying visa to the CM is an insult. Show a Minister who is clean chit? Why lay hurdles in Gujarat progress? After all, the CM brings Gujarat in the world map and is the best State in India winning awards for excellent administration and Sonia Gandhi herself had given the Award earlier too.

Well, I think Narendra Modi's influence is far and wide and this time, all cheers...he's gonna get the Visas for sure and if not, Where there's a will, there's a way - Gujarat CM can reach people and win hearts - all coz he's got words and words are all he has to take hearts away - Indeed, Narendra Modi is a great Orator (only he spill beans with harsh words sometimes!)

"Five questions sum up the breadth of news: What, When, Where, Why and How. The breadth of politics is spanned by a single question: Why? What, When and Where become largely irrelevant because you can hardly undo the past; and How helps with the gossip but does not interfere with facts. "Why" is crucial because its answer is the only means by which you can try to pre-empt a similarly unpleasant surprise in the future." says M J Akbar who launched 'Covert' - a political magazine in mid may.

In politics, the 'why' is always crucial but a lot goes with 'How' too and by and large, this how leads to when and where - How it happened, when and where it should happen and why it should not happen....you know what I mean - the situations we find absolutely alarming when common people become the victims. Ask a CM or a PM and the rules are ever changing with the party leaders! Politicians - Endangered species!!

I guess, this post comes after a break - all amidst my social, professional and personal health issues demanding my major attention. Anyways, do freak in for a casual stroll to kidsfreesouls to find something new and to the newly launched Covert with a new adds to columnists posts on the MJ blog and of coz, my biz site with the Biz blog now going the feedburner way to go..

Twitter, twitter and twittering.....that's the way to Go - as long as new explorations continue, everything seems rosy and gold but it seems to wait how long we continue with these social networking sites - My Space, Face Book, Orkut, Wayn, Linked in, Flixter....many many more...and here's Twitter you see me Twittering for a while (on right bar of the blog) - Find more on this on Kidsfreesouls Blog note.

Btw, Yesterday at the launch of Smita Dani's Book "Diary of a Survivor", it was a pleasure attending the book release. Specifically, a lot to learn on living life and listening to the wisdom words of Smita Dani and Narendra Modi - on Life and their Books. I was the one fortunate to get a copy of Narendrabhai's 'Jyotipunj' but well, it was the words of the CM that were driven to musings on Dare to do it and what is life all about.......Read more on Kidsfreesouls and keep checking in for more in print newspapers too.....

A long time with no posts and do we call this a Writer's Block? Maybe - coz when we keep silent, there's a way to go and it's always said, 'Silence Speaks a Thousand Words' - Probably, this is the reason why I like the song of Debbie Gibson where the words go 'Don't worry, I'll return the song of silence.....Silence speaks a thousand words!

Anyways, here's the New York Times Bestseller Joel Comm's 4th Book launch of revealing 'Adsense Secrets' - Find on Kidsfreesouls as I blog my way to newer areas....Be a Millionaire with Joel's tips. Blood Brothers and the first thing that comes in mind is a song of Karmacy group - the song with the plight of a youth who became an NRI and did not want his brother to commit the mistake he did! Well, I guess, depends on personal experiences and individuals. But than, I do gather now that India is becoming an IT Hub esp. Gujarat as I find many IT guys 'Too busy' with the outsourcing offers.

Now, Blood Brothers, I refer is Fratelli de Sangue - the translated Italian Book of M J Akbar just launched in Bologna, Rome. You can find the details on the site and read the Book too:-) No wonder, a movie may be made some day from the Book story of Blood Brothers!

Btw, here's Kidsfreesouls with a fresh re-start of Counselling Pages. If you have a question or a two, do rush in. Take care.

Heralding a new start with 2008, here's just books, books and Books - The best friend for a lifetime! You can even find the upcoming Book sections for Parents, Teachers and children here on my amazon space on kidsfreesouls.

Btw, this reminds me to refer to the Grimm's fairy tales and all those wonderful stories we ever read out to children. To my surprize, many of the English medium children aren't aware of stories like Hansel and Gretel, Snow white, Rumpelstiltskin and sleeping beauty! How sad! Childhood is getting more matured or is the innocence fading away....Teachers and parents need to spare those lovely moments for children and make a routine to read out fairy tales to them. Even the lovely games are just pass by with kids spending hours on computer games or play stations and television.

Let this be a resolution to spare a few moments for children - ours, theirs or any children and tell tale the stories - in hindi, gujarati, english or any language. We make a difference in their lives. Maybe, soon you can find story section coming up on kidsfreesouls! Till then, here's fairyland.

Reminds me of the Pramod Batra's Book on Management Thoughts. It says, 'Knock the T off the Can't. His teacher while he was in the fifth grade, George Reeves was a 6 feet 2, weighing seventeen stone. He would shout, 'Silence' and write on the board, 'Can't'. And ask, 'And now what shall I do?'. All shouted together, 'Knock the T off the Can't.' He erased it leaving the word CAN.

That's a lesson - You can if you think you CAN. No one can stop us from our goals we want to reach and even Narendra Modi has proved this. So can we!

This one by Pramod Batra is one of the best picks. I recommend for all good readers. Enjoy!

CM Narendra Modi has emerged to be one of the tallest leaders with a sure, confident win and it's all bouquets of roses. BJP is itself a Structural Political Party and into Collective performance. Nevertheless, 'The speed of the Boss is the speed of the team!' So, it was a sure win like Narendrabhai said, "I am the CM and will remain CM" - For Me, CM means a common man." BJP's won the match and Narendrabhai is the 'Man of the Match.' Merchants of Death remark of Sonia Gandhi will go down in History which has no effects on the poll results. No voter, especially Gujaratis are no fools and they know the CM, who is popular in the state, national and international level can just 'do it' - as he says, my Gujarat is my 'atma' and my India is 'my Parmatma' as he defines and knows his goals too well. It's been a historic day for Indian democracy. Also, a turning point for National politics and even a security alert to the CM.

Victory does not remove the blot or invalidate all that happened during the post-Godhra riots under his Chief Ministership. A second win can be justified but he sure needs to do Justice with all common man equal alike with no religious barriers. Future is all yours to behold!

As I congratulate the CM, it all the Great Expectations of the aam gujarati for a better living and peaceful Gujarat as it's been for the last many years.

Here's the site coming with updates of the CM and you can watch all the videos too. Esp. on Terrorism. Enjoy!

Whoever wins, one thing is just amazing - Even kids in gujarat were spotted asking this Election day, 'Who are you going to vote?' Complete awareness of the voting rights and we found a many youth holding the finger of the aged and families together, voting yesterday! Jeetega bhai jeetega par chak de kaun karega - remains to be seen.

Well, all waged war of words and for the CM, it goes, 'It's all only words and words are all I have to take your heart away'. Especially, before the big day, he was spotted asking the crowd, 'will you do satnarayan puja to make modi win' and the crowd said, 'No', 'will you do hanuman chalisa to make modi win' and the crowd said, 'no', 'will you go walking to Ambaji to make modi win' and the crowd said, 'no', So then, will you go to vote and crowd shouts, 'Yes' - wow, this is called spreading Awareness of Right to Vote:-)

Change Attitude, change life. Who says, Gujarat people are'nt aware? Do media need to
show those empty chairs or held the CM responsible for price rise of oil and vegetables in gujarat? Or even, go to the extent of writing that women are not safe here...No ways, you can fool people some of the time, you cannot fool people all the time!

Aids awareness is clear and present in Society. However, there has been alarming rise in Children's HIV/AIDS and women too. Exact figures are not known of cases from Gujarat but here's the un-updated link on Gujarat Govt. Health Initiative website. And here's another link, (Gujarat State Aids Control Society) I can't figure to get the reports!

It is revealed, Youth indulge in serious risk to catch the infection. It is alarming to know as per the Report of ActionAid and VSO, UK, nearly 40 pc of those contacting the HIV virus in India are women. Over a 21,000 children are affected this year compared to the previous figures.

Whatever, Gujarat is a land of Free and the most risky spot if you aren't Aware, Beware. Check this on Aids Day and light a Candle through a Kidsfreesouls link to support the cause wherever you stay.

Awesome Diwali celebrations and still going on! That's our Apnu Amdabad - A heaven on earth, you can call! Endless festive celebrations and endless marriages - bethaks n sangeet sandhyas n all that goes upto after marriage ceremonies!

And the best part for me was, listening to the best humor of our CM Narendrabhai Modi at the GCCI Diwali meet at Rajpath club. I've met him and heard him a couple of times but this speech had too amazing shots - you got to be present to believe it coz the media is only going to show empty chairs in the newspapers - a rosy picture you can create any time 'As you like it'. A great sense of humor and bold allegations, ask any business person present there and all smiles goes the answer, 'Lage raho, Narendrabhai.'

Btw, what's your say? Is any one capable to be a CM in his place? Post a guess name and we can wait to c who wins the elections!
Not much to say further, here's goes the Hi and thanksgiving day at kidsfreesouls with the added Literature pages and lots more....Enjoy!
